(Clarinda, IA) – Clarinda Police Chief Keith Brothers reports three arrests were made during the period of August 15th & 16th as part of an on-going investigation into drug activity in Clarinda. Saturday, August 15th, 47-year-old Seth Martin Kuipers, of Clarinda, was arrested on a warrant for the offenses of felony distribution of methamphetamine and possession of methamphetamine. Saturday, August 15th, 31-year-old Zachary Tyler Fuller, of Clarinda, was arrested on a warrant for the offenses of felony distribution of methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine and gathering for purposes of distribution and possession of controlled substances. Sunday, August 16th, 35-year-old Robert Dean Wiechman, of Clarinda, was arrested on a warrant for the offenses of gathering for purposes of the distribution and use of controlled substances and possession of drug paraphernalia. Kuipers, Fuller and Wiechman are currently being held at the Page County Jail on bond.
The Clarinda Police Department was assisted by the Page County Sheriff’s Department, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department, and the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department K-9 unit. Reports have been forwarded to the Page County Attorney’s Office for the determination regarding the filing of formal charges.
As with all criminal cases, the charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
