Coolest Thing Made in Iowa competition narrowed down to the Top 8!

(Des Moines, IA) – Officials with the Iowa Association of Business and Industry (ABI) report the list of manufactures in their “Coolest Thing Made in Iowa” contest, are now down to the Top 8.

ABI and Nicolet National Bank partnered this year to present the third annual Coolest Thing Made in Iowa. The competition not only brings attention to all the cool things made in Iowa, but also the outstanding career opportunities available in manufacturing – an industry that employs 217.2k people in the state and contributes over $35 billion to the economy!

The Top 8 Matchups are as follows:

  • Mi-T-M ePowerStation (Peosta) vs. Winnebago EKKO 23B (Forest City)
  • Weiler D1075 Blasthole Drill (Knoxville) vs. Butter Braid® Pastries (West Bend)
  • Pella Steady Set™ (Pella) vs. Spalding Arena Renegade Basketball Hoop (Jefferson)
  • Beer Caves (Walk-In Coolers & Freezers in Carroll) vs. Ironclad Tornado Shelter & Gun Safe (Earlham)

The second round of bracket voting is live. In this round, four head-to-head matchups will determine the top four Coolest Things Made in Iowa. Vote once per day, per device, in each of the matchups until Wednesday, April 29 at midnight.
