(Tabor, IA) – Officials with the City of Tabor have announced that beginning August 1, 2026, law enforcement services for the community will be provided through a partnership with Mills County.
As the contract for law enforcement services with Fremont County has expired, officials say the City has worked diligently to ensure a smooth transition and continued public safety coverage for its residents. The City would like to thank Fremont County for their years of service and cooperation. They added in their news release, that “We also look forward to building a strong working relationship with the Mills County Sheriff’s Office as we continue our commitment to providing quality public safety services to the citizens of Tabor.”
The City of Tabor said also, “We appreciate everyone’s support during this transition and are confident this partnership will serve our community well.”
