(Audubon, IA) – The Audubon Community School District’s Board of Education, during their regular monthly meeting on Monday, June 15th, agreed to a proposal with regard to the filling the 5th through 12th Grade Principal’s position. The job was left open when the Board agreed to accept a resignation agreement from former Principal Quentin Stanerson, who had been placed on “authorized leave,” in mid-April.
Shared Audubon-Exira/EHK Superintendent Trevor Miller explained the position will continue to be split between himself and Assistant Principal/Athletic Director, Sean Birks.
Miller will serve as the building’s administrative leader and primary contact for questions that would normally be directed to the principal’s office. When Miller is unavailable, Birks will handle student disciplinary concerns and oversee building operations.

Mr. Miller said there were no other Personnel matters for the Board to act on this month, but they will approve a position in July.
He said everything is on the right track for the start of school in August.
He said they have posted notices of a few para-educator spots for students with additional needs, and they hope to have those positions filled by the end of this Summer.
