Adams County Sheriff’s report (6/2/26)

(Corning, IA) – The Adams County Sheriff’s Office reports several arrests occurred over the past couple of weeks:

  • On May 15th, Deputies in Adams County received a report of an assault at the Casey’s General Store. Upon further investigation, a 17-year-old male was arrested and charged with Assault causing bodily injury, and Criminal Mischief.
  • On May 18th, Deputies conducted a traffic stop at Highway 34 & Fig Avenue. Upon further investigation, 44-year-old Renato Rubio, of Hawarden, was arrested for Driving While Suspended, and Possession of a Controlled Substance-Marijuana/2n offense.
  • On May 19th, Adams County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested 33-year-old Devin Heimke, of Corning, on a valid Probation Violation warrant.
  • Adams County Deputies arrested 33-year-old Zachary Carlson, of Omaha, on May 21st. Carlson was arrested on a valid Adams County warrant for Failure To Appear.
  • On the 22nd of May, 34-year-old Courtney Sanson, of Corning, was arrested on an Adams County warrant for Possession of a Controlled Substance, Poss. of drug paraphernalia, and keeping a premise for controlled substance.
  • A 15-year-old male was arrested May 24th in Adams County, following a reported burglary/theft in Corning. The teen faces three Class-D felony counts: 2 for Burglary, one count of Theft in the 3rd Degree against an older individual.
  • 68-year-old Douglas Sharp, of Blair, NE, was arrested May 29th in Adams County, for PCS-Methamphetamine, and PCS – Marijuana.
  • And, just before 7-a.m. on June 2nd, Adams County Deputies responded to a report about two intoxicated males knocking on the doors of the Hy-Vee. Upon further investigation, 51-year-old Thomas Bracy, of Corning, was arrested for Public Intoxication.
