(Greenfield, IA) – The Board of Supervisors in Adair County, today (Wednesday, April, 29th), set May 20th at 9:15-a.m., as the date and time for a Public Hearing on a FY26 Budget Amendment. The Board also approved specific Township Clerk Wages as presented, a Courthouse lawn use permit for the Farmers Market, from June 4th through October 14th
They approved a resignation and request to hire and employee for the Adair County Treasurer’s Officer, and discussed at length, matters pertaining to the Adair County Public Health Department, including possibly exploring a sharing agreement with Guthrie County. No decisions were made on the future of the department at this time.
County Engineer Nick Kauffman presented for the Board’s approval the Adair County Secondary Roads/Iowa DOT five-year construction plan.
And, the signing by Board Chair Jerry Walker, of a Right-Of-Way Contract for an NW20 Grand River Reinforced Concrete Box Culvert Project. Engineer Kauffman presented his weekly report on Secondary Roads Department maintenance and activities.
In other business, the Adair County Supervisors acknowledged receipt of a manure management plan from Prestage Farms property near the Adair-Cass County line.
