(Greenfield, IA) – The Adair County Board of Supervisors, during a very brief meeting this (Wednesday) morning, approved the appointment of Payroll Clerk Ruthie Smith, as Adair County Auditor. Smith succeeds Mandy Berg, who submitted her resignation and whose last day as Auditor was June 3rd.
Berg spent 15 years in the auditor’s office. She succeeded Mindy Schaefer as auditor and began her first elected term in January 2021. She announced her resignation to the Board of Supervisors on May 13.
Ruthie Smith was administered the Oath of Office, before the Board went on to approve their previous meeting minutes, Claims and Homestead/Military Disallowances, as presented.
