Iowans aren’t just casting votes for candidates today. 44 bond referendums around the state are being decided today. Radio Iowa’s O. Kay Henderson reports.
Bellevue, Burlington, Dike residents are making funding decisions for city swimming pools and there are bonding plans for fire departments and emergency services facilities in Cedar Rapids, Decorah, Hills, Independence, Lake Park, Le Mars and Reinbeck. Voters in Sac, Johnson, and Wapello Counties are being presented with bonding plans for jails. Urbandale voters will decide whether a new police station will be built.
