(Muscatine, IA) – A collision between two SUV’s Monday afternoon in southeast Iowa resulted in four people being hurt. According to the Iowa State Patrol, the crash happened north of Muscatine at around 4:20-p.m.
Authorities say a 2020 Nissan Pathfinder driven by 67-year-old Peggy M. Waack, of Moscow, IA, was traveling east on 155th Street and approaching Highway 38, at the same time a 2018 Hyundai Sante Fe driven by 58-year-old Chrystelle A. Delong, of Muscatine, was traveling north on Highway 38. The Patrol says when Waack failed to stop at the posted intersection, her vehicle collided with the other SUV.
Both drivers and two passengers, identified as 27-year-old Jennie M. Osborne, of Muscatine, and 37-year-old Bethany J. George, of Moscow, IA, were injured. Delong was flown by helicopter to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Osborn and George were transported by ambulance to Trinity Hospital in Muscatine.
The report did not provide information on Peggy Waack’s injuries. All the of crash victims were wearing their seat belts.
