At around 10:15-p.m. Monday, April 20th, Deputies in Adams County arrested 18-year-old Franklynn Taute, of Corning, on a charge of Sexual Abuse in the 3rd Degree. The charge stems from an incident that allegedly occurred on April 15th. Taute was transported to the Adams County Jail.

And, a traffic stop at around 12:10-a.m. on April 17th at Highways 34 and 148 in Adams County, resulted in the arrest on drug charges of 42-year-old Jennifer Wilcox, and her passenger, 44-year-old Joshua Heilman, both of Ottumwa.
Wilcox was charged with: Possession of a Controlled Substance 2nd offense (Methamphetamine) – aggravated misdemeanor; PCS 1st offense (Marijuana) – serious misdemeanor; Possession of Drug Paraphernalia – simple misdemeanor, and Driving While license is suspended or cancelled – serious misdemeanor.

Heilman was charged with PCS w/the intent to distribute/marijuana, Failure to Affix a drug tax stamp, and PCS/Marijuana – 3rd offense – all are Class D Felonies; PCS/Meth – 2nd offense (aggravated misdemeanor), and Poss. of drug paraphernalia – simple misdemeanor.

Heilman also had outstanding warrants for five counts of Controlled substance Violations, 4 counts of Failure to Affix Tax Stamp, two counts Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Eluding, and Driving while suspend – all out of Wapello County. Wilcox and Heilman were transported to the Adams County Jail.
