(Wayne County, IA) – Three young adults were injured when they were ejected from a car during a rollover accident late Friday night in southern Iowa. According to the Iowa State Patrol, a 2012 Nissan Maxima was traveling north on Highway 65 near mile marker 2, when it left the road and entered the east ditch. The accident happened at around 11:45 p.m.
When the vehicle rolled over before coming to rest, three 18-year-old males, Cameron Noah Peterson, and Chase Martin Williams, both of Chariton, and Kyzer von Arnold, of Russell (IA), were ejected. None of the crash victims were wearing a seat belt.
Arnold and Williams were transported by Wayne EMS to the Wayne County Hospital. Peterson was flown from the scene to Mercy Hospital in Des Moines. The crash remains under investigation.
