(Floyd County, IA) – A head-on crash late Saturday night in northern Iowa resulted the drivers of both vehicles being seriously injured, and transported to a hospital in Mason City. According to the Iowa State Patrol the crash happened on eastbound Highway 18 near Floyd, at around 11-p.m.
The Patrol says a pickup truck driven by 43-year-old Curtis Carr, of Osage (IA), was traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes, when it struck and eastbound SUV driven by 18-year-old Lilly Moen, of Rockford, IA. Both drivers were wearing their seat belts.
The Floyd County crash remained under investigation.
