2 arrested in Adams County last weekend

(Corning, IA) – Sheriff’s officials in Adams County report two people were arrested on separate charges last weekend. At around 3:33 p.m. Saturday (Aug. 1st), 68-year-olld Tommy Cooney, of Atchison, KS, was arrested for OWI, Open Container and Interference with official acts, after authorities received a complaint about a careless driver who was seen slumped over the wheel, and may have been having a medical issue. Following an investigation, Cooney was taken into custody and transported to the Adams County Jail.

And, at around 8:30 p.m. Saturday, Adams County Deputies arrested 43-year-old Hank Schrader, of Corning, for Interference with Official Acts, and Speeding (103 mph in a 60 mph zone). Schrader was booked into the Adams County Jail.
