2 adults & 2 children from Missouri injured in a northern IA crash Thursday afternoon

(Worth County, IA) – Five people from Kearney, MO., were injured during a collision and rollover crash that occurred south of Northwood, in northern Iowa, Thursday afternoon. According to the Iowa State Patrol, a pickup and an SUV were traveling north on Interstate 35 near mile marker 212 at around 4:50-p.m., and heading into a work zone. When a 2010 Chevy pickup began to merge and slow down, a 2026 VW Taos SUV attempted to pass , and collided with the rear driver’s side bumper of the pickup.

The SUV then entered the median and rolled several times. All of the occupants of the SUV wore their seatbelts, but suffered injuries, and were transported to a hospital in Mason City. One of the accident victims – a 13- year old – was flown by helicopter. The others, ages 37, 33 and 6, were transported by ambulance.
