1 injured in a NE Iowa motorcycle accident

(Jones County, IA) – A man on a motorcycle was ejected from the machine during a crash Saturday afternoon near Cascade, in northeast Iowa’s Jones County. According to the Iowa State Patrol, the 1980 Honda motorcycle operated by 68-year-old Chester Lee Sutton, of Maquoketa, was traveling east on Jones County Road D-61, when the cycle went off onto the shoulder of the road and went out of control. The accident happened at around 2:15-p.m.

During the accident, Sutton was ejected from the machine. Both he and the motorcycle came to rest in the south ditch. He was transported by Cascade Ambulance to MercyOne Hospital. There was no report on his condition.

Cascade Fire and EMS assisted the Patrol at the scene.
