1 injured in a NE IA crash Sunday morning

(Butler County, IA) – The driver of a Toyota was injured Sunday morning during a crash in the northeast Iowa town of Clarksville. The Iowa State Patrol reports the accident happened at around 10:12-a.m. as the car, driven by 45-year-old Adam C. Averhoff, of Clarksville, was traveling north on Highway 188. As the vehicle passed 195th Street, it left the road and came to rest in the Shell Rock River.

Averhoff – who was wearing a seat belt – was able to exit the vehicle. He was treated for injuries and transported to Unity Point Hospital by Clarksville EMS. Authorities say no other persons are believed to have been involved in the crash.
