(Dubuque County, IA) – A collision Monday morning in Dubuque left the driver of an SUV dead, and three others injured. According to the Iowa State Patrol, the accident happened at around 9:54 a.m., when a 2022 Ford Escape driven by an 81-year old from Cedar Rapids, crossed the center line of northbound Highway 52 near Double J Lane, and collided head-on with a southbound 2017 Ford F-250 pickup, driven by an individual from Decorah.
The driver of the SUV died at the scene. The driver of the pickup and two passengers in the vehicle, ages 51 and 26, and who were from Decorah and Ossian (IA), respectively, suffered minor injuries, and were transported by ambulance to MercyOne Hospital in Dyersville.
No names had been released, as of this report.
