CARSON, Iowa – March 27, 2026 – The Iowa Department of Transportation’s Creston Construction Office reports, if you drive on Iowa 92 near Carson you need to be aware of two upcoming nights of road closures beginning on April 6th, weather permitting.
Crews will need to close Iowa 92, so that the U.S. 59 bridge over the roadway can be removed. Iowa Highway 92 will be closed on the following nights:
- Monday, April 6 at 8 p.m. until 6 a.m. Tuesday, April 7
- Tuesday, April 7 at 8 p.m. until 6 a.m. Wednesday, April 8
The Iowa DOT reminds motorists to drive with caution, obey the posted speed limit and other signs in the work area, and be aware that traffic fines for moving violations are at least double in work zones. As in all work zones, drivers should stay alert, allow ample space between vehicles, and wear seat belts.
