(Atlantic, IA) – Atlantic High School Band Director Jared O’Donnell reports that on Saturday March 28th Atlantic Band Students participated in the Class 3A State Solo/Small Ensemble Festival hosted at Atlantic High School. Atlantic took 30 events, where 24 events received a Division 1 Superior Rating, 5 Groups received a Division 2 Excellent Rating, and one group received a Division 3 Good Rating. The Saxophone Choir also had the special distinction of being selected as the Outstanding Group in Center 4, and will travel to Ames on May 19th to Perform their piece at the Outstanding Performance Recital on the campus of Iowa State University.
