{"id":525903,"date":"2025-04-07T14:37:40","date_gmt":"2025-04-07T19:37:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.kjan.com\/?p=525903"},"modified":"2025-04-07T14:37:40","modified_gmt":"2025-04-07T19:37:40","slug":"atlantic-csd-school-resource-officer-hired","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kjan.com\/news\/atlantic-csd-school-resource-officer-hired\/","title":{"rendered":"Atlantic CSD School Resource Officer hired"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>(Atlantic, Iowa) \u2013 Officials with the Atlantic Police Department and Atlantic Community School District, Monday (today) announced <strong>Officer Ben Sandy<\/strong> joined the Atlantic Police Department in April of 2025, and will be assigned to the role of School Resource Officer (SRO).<\/p>\n<p>Officer Sandy comes to the A-PD with three years of experience as a police officer. He has previously worked for the Centerville Police Department, as a Wayne County Sheriff\u2019s Deputy. Officer Sandy is married with three children.<\/p>\n<p>Outside of staying busy with his family, he enjoys woodworking and illustrating in his free time.
