TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (AP) — Seth Tuttle had 15 points and eight rebounds and Jeremy Morgan added 12 points as No. 14 Northern Iowa ran away from Indiana State 61-51 on Tuesday night. The Panthers (21-2, 10-1 Missouri Valley) won their 10th in a row and got their first season sweep of the Sycamores in five seasons. Indiana State (11-12, 7-4) was led by Devonte Brown with 14 points, but the Sycamores fell to 0-3 this season against ranked teams.
Defensively, Northern Iowa was every bit as good as advertised. Indiana State shot 37.3 percent from the field and finished with a season low for points. And after scoring the final four points of the first half to take 33-22 lead, Northern Iowa never let the Sycamores get within single digits in the second half.
The Panthers took control with a 13-3 first-half run then methodically pulled away until the final minutes.

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — The Oklahoma City Thunder has signed forward Nick Collison to a multi-year contract extension.
The team made the announcement on Tuesday. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The 34-year-old Collison is the longest tenured member of the organization. The 6-foot-10 Collison ranks among the franchise’s all-time career leaders in rebounds (3rd, 4,370 career rebounds), blocks (6th, 439 career blocks), field goal percentage (2nd, .537) and games played (2nd, 791 career games). He is averaging 3.8 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 15.9 minutes per game this season, and holds career averages of 6.4 points and 5.5 rebounds.
The Seattle SuperSonics drafted Collison 12th overall in 2003, several years before the franchise moved to Oklahoma City.
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (AP) — Postseason star Lorenzo Cain and the Kansas City Royals have agreed to a one-year contract for $2,725,000, just ahead of what would have been Major League Baseball’s first salary arbitration hearing this year.
Royals third baseman Mike Moustakas also settled Tuesday, agreeing to a one-year contract for $2.64 million.
Cain had asked for $3.6 million and had been offered $2 million when the sides swapped figures last month. In addition to his salary, the speedy outfielder would earn a $25,000 bonus for 505 plate appearances.
The sides entered the room for the hearing, which was scheduled to start at 2 p.m., then stepped outside the room and reached the agreement.
Cain, 28, hit a team-best .301 with five homers, 53 RBIs and 28 steals in 33 chances last season, when he made $546,000. He was MVP of the Royals’ sweep of Baltimore in the AL Championship Series after batting .533 (8 for 15) with a pair of doubles. He hit .308 in the World Series loss to San Francisco.
The 26-year-old Moustakas would earn a $10,000 bonus if he has 550 or more plate appearances. He hit .212 with 21 doubles and 54 RBIs last year, when he made $549,000. He had asked for $3.1 million in arbitration and had been offered $1.85 million.
Four Royals remain in arbitration: first baseman Eric Hosmer and pitchers Danny Duffy, Kelvin Herrera and Greg Holland.

LAWRENCE, Kan. (AP) — Wayne Selden Jr. scored 19 points in a hot-shooting second half to spark No. 8 Kansas past No. 11 Iowa State 89-76 on Monday night. Selden, after missing all three of his shots and scoring only one point in the first half, drilled four of his first five 3-pointers after intermission, often finding himself virtually unguarded on the right wing, as the Jayhawks (19-3, 8-1 Big 12) padded their lead in the Big 12 race to 1½ games.
Georges Niang had 24 points for Iowa State (16-5, 6-3), which dropped out of a second-place tie with West Virginia. Leading 35-28 after a seesaw first half, the Jayhawks reeled off a 14-6 run the first 4 minutes, 45 seconds after intermission, with Selden scoring eight points, including two uncontested 3-pointers. Iowa State called time out and tried to regroup after Selden’s second 3-pointer put Kansas on top 49-34 but never got the lead under nine points.
