(Atlantic, Iowa – As we change the calendar from February to March, the weather records at KJAN show the past month was warm on the plus side, wet, and cold on the low side. The average High for the month was 41 (40.6 degrees). That’s 5.2 degrees warmer than the norm. We received 2.73 inches of precipitation (rain/sleet/melted snow), which was 1.77 inches wetter than the norm of .96 inches. And, the Low averaged out to 15.07 degrees, which was 10 degrees (10.23) colder than average.

The warmest day was February 13th (56-degrees). The coldest days (a 24-hour Low) were on the 16th & 17th, both days coming in at -9 degrees. The snowiest day was February 16th (4.3″).
