According to multiple reports Michigan transfer quarterback Cade McNamara has committed to continue his career at Iowa. McNamara posted to social media with the decision on Thursday. The transfer portal officially opens on Monday.

McNamara helped lead the Wolverines to the College Football Playoff in 2021 but lost his starting job early this season to JJ McCarthy. He also suffered a leg injury and underwent surgery for the issue during the season.

McNamara will have two years of eligibility left to use at Iowa.
