Giants beat up Cardinals Friday

The San Francisco Giants scored 8 runs on 8 hits and took game one of a three-game weekend set from the St. Louis Cardinals 8-2 on Friday.
Mike Yastrzemski delivered a two run double in the third when Harrison Bader couldn’t come up with a diving attempt at the track. Luis Gonzalez had two hits and an RBI.
The Giants led 3-1 heading into the fifth and then battered the Cardinals bullpen for 5 runs in the 8th. San Francisco improved to 20-12 on the season.
The Cardinals have scored 3 or fewer runs in 16 of their 32 games. The Redbirds fell to 17-15 on the season.
