Aleah Hermensen knocked down seven shots from beyond the three point arc and finished with 29 points to lead the Audubon Wheelers to a 58-32 win over Riverside on Monday night.

Both teams struggled to get their offenses going early but Audubon started to get in a groove late in the first half with a 9-2 run to take a 22-14 lead at the break. The Wheelers then forced the Bulldogs into five straight turnovers to start the second half and the lead ballooned to twenty by the end of the third.

Audubon head coach Darran Miller said they changed some things defensively to get that spark to start the second half.

Coach Miller said Hermensen has the green light to shoot from the outside and it was fun to see her rolling.

Hermensen said she has felt good about her three point shot recently and has been looking for it a bit more.

The Wheelers improved to 12-4 on the season with the win and will face Underwood next on Friday.

Riverside was led by 12 points from Lydia Erickson who hit a couple late threes. The Bulldogs fall to 6-11 on the season and will play Whiting next Monday.
