Beaches where swimming is not recommended this week include:

Prairie Rose Beach in Shelby County

Backbone Beach in Delaware County

Beeds Lake Beach in Franklin County

Big Creek Beach in Polk County

Black Hawk Beach in Sac County

Emerson Bay Beach in Dickinson County

The DNR tests 40-some beaches each week between Memorial Day weekend and Labor Day weekend. Sampling and testing happen during the week, with the results going online on the AQuIA website Friday mornings.
