Iowa’s pheasant season is underway and a spokesman for the D-N-R says now is a good time to come back to the hunt. Mick Klemesrud says it’s also a chance to start a new tradition.
Klemesrud says bird populations are as high was they’ve been in years, and that should provide a great time.
If it has been awhile since you’ve chased the ringtails or you are new to the sport, he says the D-N-R website can help you.
Klemesrud says the opportunities to find birds will get better in November as more of the crops come out the fields. The pheasant season runs through January 10th.
