John Deere plans to bring over 275 workers back to its Waterloo plant and another 60 will be returning to work at Deere’s plant in the Quad Cities. Radio Iowa’s O. Kay Henderson reports.
The layoffs at John Deere started in early 2024, Due to a decline in agriculture equipment demands, low crop prices and a rise in production costs, with more layoff continuing throughout the year and into 2025.
