Freedom Friday

Nominate a veteran or someone who is currently serving in the military to be featured on “Freedom Friday.” Each Friday we will highlight a hero and share some of their stories on “Heartbeat Today.” Send us the name and contact information of a person you think should be featured along with your name, address and phone number. Jim Field speaks about KJAN taking donations for the Atlantic food pantry from 11am-3pm on Friday, November 25th at the Rock Island Depot in Atlantic. Individuals that donate will recieve a raffle ticket for showing up and also one ticket for each dollar or item donated. We will then accept monetary donations at the station until Thursday, December 1st at noon. Then on Monday, December 5th on Heartbeat Today we will draw one of those raffle tickets and announce the number. The person with that winning ticket will have til the end of the business day that day to come show us the ticket and pick up the $500 Christmas Cash prize!
