Afternoon Host, Music Director
A little more about myself I came to KJAN in July of 2014 to fill the position of afternoon host/Music Director and work weekdays from 1:00-7:00pm. Some of you may remember me from my days as news director at KSIB in Creston. But before that I spent time with KG-98/K-107 in Jefferson and Stuart as well as KDSN in Denison, KKRL/KCIM in Carroll, in addition to stations in Sioux Falls, SD; Hampton, Cedar Falls, and Osage Iowa. I have done various jobs in the realm of radio ranging for selling advertising time to doing the news. I am thankful for the opportunity to continue my radio career here in Atlantic. I have three children that keep me hopping when am not busy at KJAN. The oldest is Emma who is 17 and a junior at Creston High School and she is active in all sorts of fine arts activities, followed by Olivia who is 8 and she keeps busy with Girl Scouts and Dance as well as hanging out with her friends whenever possible, she is followed by Luke who will be 3 in February and he definately keeps me on the go when we are out and about. He loves being outside and getting into all kinds of mischief. Photos of us will be forthcoming so check back again soon. Back to myself; I love all kinds of music anything from Alabama and ZZ Top about covers it. I love following the Iowa Hawkeyes and am thrilled to hear the games on KJAN if I am not watching them. I love my Chicago Cubs; they may not win but I still love watching them!!! I grew up on a farm in Northwest Iowa so I too enjoy the outdoors whenever possible and I was very active in 4-H and FFA while growing up. I went to College at Iowa Central Community College in Fort Dodge being a couple of years behind Jim Field. After that I continued my education at Wartburg College in Waverly where I continued to make friends in every walk of life.
