LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) — Nebraska’s Mike Riley tells The Associated Press he always feels as if he’s coaching for his job. Pressure is mounting on Riley following the second 1-2 start in his three seasons in Lincoln. The program has not won a conference title since 1999, and the fan base has become edgy. The Huskers suffered an embarrassing 21-17 loss at home to Northern Illinois over the weekend. The Huskers open Big Ten play this week against Rutgers.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — Chiefs rookie Kareem Hunt reached the end zone twice, Travis Kelce took a shovel pass 15 yards for the go-ahead touchdown and Kansas City held on to beat the Philadelphia Eagles 27-20 on Sunday.

Kelce’s touchdown catch with 6:25 left and Hunt’s second TD scamper appeared to have put the game away. But Carson Wentz hit Nelson Agholor for an answering score with 14 seconds left, and Trey Burton jumped on the onside kick a few seconds later to give the Eagles one last throw to the end zone. Wentz unloaded from just inside the 50-yard line, but his pass fell incomplete as time expired.

Kelce finished with 103 yards through the air, highlighted by his somersaulting score. Hunt had 81 yards on the ground, building on a record-setting debut in which he piled up 246 yards from scrimmage in a season-opening victory in New England .

Alex Smith had 251 yards passing for the Chiefs (2-0). Cairo Santos was 2 for 2 on field goals. Wentz finished with 333 yards and two touchdowns passing, despite facing relentless pressure all afternoon. The spunky quarterback also led the Eagles (1-1) with 55 yards rushing.

NAMING RIGHTS: The Chiefs renamed the TV booths at Arrowhead Stadium in honor of Len Dawson, their Hall of Fame quarterback and broadcaster. He is retiring from doing radio analysis after the season.

CEDAR CITY, Utah (AP) — Patrick Tyler threw for 200 yards and a touchdown and Manny Berz’s 26-yard field goal with 1:50 remaining helped Southern Utah hold off Northern Iowa 24-21 on Saturday night.

James Felia’s 20-yard touchdown run with 4:35 left in the third quarter put Southern Utah (2-1) up 21-10. But halfway through the fourth, Eli Dunne threw a 21-yard scoring pass to Trevor Allen then found Briley Moore for the 2-point conversion.

Austin Errthum’s 30-yard field goal tied it at 21 with 5:37 left to play. On the next drive, the Panthers stuffed Patrick Tyler for no gain on fourth-and-1 at Southern Utah’s 42.

Northern Iowa lined up for a 53-yard field goal attempt with 3:00 to go, but Errthum’s attempt was blocked and Jarmaine Doubs returned it 29 yards to the Northern Iowa 17 to set up Berz’s game winner.

Felia ran for 92 yards and scored twice. Dunne led Northern Iowa (1-2) with 284 yards rushing. Northern Iowa rushed 29 times for minus-14 yards.
