COVID-19 confirmed in Crawford County

Late Sunday afternoon, officials with Crawford County Home Health, Hospice & Public Health, said that a positive case of COVID-19 was confirmed in County resident. The patient is an adult between the ages of 61-and 80. No further information was released. Earlier in the day, Iowa health officials had confirmed 38 more cases of the coronavirus and a fourth death. The Iowa Department of Public Health said Sunday that the state now has 336 positive cases, up from 299 on Saturday. There have been a total of 5,013 negative tests to date.

The latest death was a Linn County resident between the ages of 61 and 80. The virus has now been found in 51 of Iowa’s 99 counties. Aside from Crawford County, the new cases include 10 in Polk County, six in Linn County and four each in Johnson and Dubuque counties.
