Atlantic travels to Creston for Hawkeye Ten doubleheader

Trojan LogoThe Atlantic Trojans will go on the road to Creston tonight to face the Panthers in a girl/boy varsity doubleheader. We’ll have coverage of the two games on KJAN.

The girls game will feature the 0-4 Trojans against the 1-2 Panthers. Creston opened the season with a win over Winterset and then dropped back to back road games against Glenwood and Shenandoah. The Trojans are coming off a spirited effort against the Class 3A 4th ranked Red Oak Tigers in a 54-50 loss. Baylee Newell has leads the Trojans in scoring with 12 points per game, while the Panthers have been led by 17 per outing from Brielle Baker.

The boys game will feature a 2-1 Atlantic squad against the 1-2 Panthers. Atlantic is coming off a road win at Red Oak 61-34 on Tuesday night. The Panthers picked up their first win on Tuesday 60-56 over Shenandoah. Atlantic has been led by 23 points per game from Chase Mullenix. The Panthers have gotten 19 per game from Cael Kralik and 18 per outing from Kylan Smallwood.
