Griswold girls pull away from Riverside in 4th quarter

The Griswold girls basketball team pulled away from the Riverside Bulldogs in the fourth quarter to take a 41-25 win on Tuesday night. It was a three point game at halftime with an 18-15 Griswold lead. Riverside then went scoreless in the third quarter but Griswold only increased their lead by 4 in that quarter. Jocelyn Amos then dropped in 6 of her 11 total points in the fourth quarter to propel Griswold to the victory. The Tigers outscored the Bulldogs 19-10 in that final quarter.

Mateya Peters led all scorers with 13 points and she also grabbed 6 rebounds for Griswold. The Tigers improved to 6-8 with the win. They next travel to Treynor on Friday night.

Ashlynn Amdor led Riverside with 12 points. The Bulldogs fall to 2-10 on the season. They will host Audubon on Friday.
