The CAM Cougars boys basketball team rolled to a 62-20 home win over Essex on Monday night. The Cougars were very active on defense and a quick transition game lead to a number of layups in the win. The Cougars jumped out to a 27-5 lead by the end of the first quarter and led 45-13 by halftime. The lead was up to 55-18 by the end of the third.

Thomas Hensley and DeShawn Carr both had 14 points for CAM in the win. Nic Holste also dropped in 8 points. The Cougars improve to 3-1 with the win and will travel to Ar-We-Va on Tuesday night before a game at Exira-EHK on Friday night. We’ll have the CAM at Exira-EHK doubleheader for you on KJAN Friday night. Pregame before the girls game starts at 5:50pm.

Essex was led by 6 points from Colton Thornburg. The Trojans fall to 0-6 on the season.
