EDNA POEPSEL, 85, of Harlan, died Monday, Nov. 6th, in Omaha. A Mass of Christian Burial for EDNA POEPSEL will be held 11-a.m. Saturday, Nov. 11th, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Harlan. Burmeister-Johannsen Funeral Home in Harlan has the arrangements.

Friends may call at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Harlan, from 3-until 8-p.m. on Friday, Nov. 10th, with the family greeting friends from 5-until 7-p.m., and a Rosary taking place at 7-p.m.

Burial will be in the Harlan Cemetery.

EDNA POEPSEL is survived by:

Her daughters – Patricia (Richard) Kemp, of Omaha; Kathryn (Matthew) Reed, & Susan (Forrest) Westbrook, all of Spring, TX; Sara Peopsel Miller, of Harlan.

Her sons – James (Linda) Poepsel, of Houston, TX, and Francis (Tracey McKinney) Poepsel, of Council Bluffs.

Her sisters – Dorothy (James) McCarr, of Lemont, IL; Sister Bernice Mertens, of St. Francis, WI.; Joann Luttenegger, of Bettendorf, and Mary Jean (Jack) Kasher, of Omaha.

Her brothers – Leroy Mertens, of West Burlington, IA, and William (Joyce) Mertens, of Central City, IA.

8 grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
