NORMAN, Okla. (AP) — Kyle Kempt passed for 343 yards and three touchdowns, including a 25-yarder to Allen Lazard that put Iowa State ahead with 2:19 left and Joel Lanning made plays on offense and defense to lead the Cyclones to a stunning 38-31 victory over No. 3 Oklahoma. The loss snapped Oklahoma’s nation-leading 14-game winning streak and the Sooners’ 18-game run against the Cyclones that dated to 1990.

LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) — Freshman Jonathan Taylor rushed for a season-high 249 yards and two touchdowns to lead a punishing ground game that helped ninth-ranked Wisconsin wear down Nebraska in the second half of a 38-17 win. The Badgers beat the Huskers for the fifth straight time and took sole possession of first place in the Big Ten West. Devine Ozigbo ran for 112 yards for Nebraska.

IOWA CITY, Iowa (AP) — Nate Stanley threw for 247 yards and three TDs and Iowa rolled past Illinois 45-16, snapping a two-game losing streak. Safety Brandon Snyder added an 89-yard interception return for a score in his first game back from a knee injury for the Hawkeyes who outscored Illinois 28-3 in the second half. Snyder’s pick-six came with 6:40 left in the third quarter and made it 24-16 Iowa.

 

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa (AP) — Sean McGuire threw three touchdowns including the game-winner in the final seconds as Western Illinois beat Northern Iowa 38-29. The Leathernecks (4-1, 1-1 Missouri Valley Conference) trailed 29-25 with six seconds to play when McGuire hit Jaelon Acklin at the goal line for a 20-yard touchdown and a 31-29 lead. Michael Bishoff recovered a NIU fumble on the ensuing kickoff and took it 20 yards for another Leathernecks’ touchdown for the final score as time expired.
