LOS ANGELES (AP) — The Chicago Cubs own a 3-2 lead in the NL Championship Series after Addison Russell slammed a tiebreaking, two-run homer and Javier Baez delivered a three-run double in an 8-4 rout of the Dodgers in Los Angeles. The game was tied 1-1 in the sixth until Russell went deep off loser Joe Blanton, who has surrendered three home runs in the series.

GREEN BAY, Wisc. (AP)— Aaron Rodgers set a team record for completions in a game, hitting on 39 of 56 passes in the Green Bay Packers’ 26-10 comeback win over the 1-6 Chicago Bears. He finished with 326 passing yards and tossed two of his three touchdown throws to Davante Adams. The Packers trailed 10-6 in the third quarter until Rodgers found Adams for a five-yard TD.

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) — The New York Giants have pulled kicker Josh Brown from their next game against the Rams in London amid new reports of domestic violence. The move comes after police released journal entries and emails in which he admitted that he verbally and physically abused his former wife. The Giants have replaced Brown by signing free-agent kicker Robbie Gould.

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP) — The Bills still aren’t sure running back LaSean McCoy can play Sunday against the Dolphins. A person with direct knowledge of McCoy’s hamstring injury told The Associated Press that McCoy will be “a game-time decision.” McCoy has been productive during Buffalo’s four-game winning streak, rushing for 470 yards rushing and scoring six touchdowns.
