LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) – Tommy Armstrong Jr. passed for 377 yards and three touchdowns, Kieron Williams ran back one of Josh Allen’s five interceptions for a score and Nebraska defeated Wyoming 52-17 on Saturday. The Cornhuskers (2-0) started their 28-point fourth quarter on Armstrong’s perfectly thrown 34-yard touchdown pass to Jordan Westerkamp. Armstrong later flipped a 9-yarder to Westerkamp for his school-record 57th career TD pass.

Williams ran back an interception 23 yards for a touchdown to put Nebraska up 24-10, but the Cowboys (1-1) answered with a six-play, 76-yard drive to make it a seven-point late in the third quarter. Westerkamp caught four balls for 105 yards and Alonzo Moore had three catches for 109.

Allen, who played a turnover-free game in last week’s triple-overtime win over Northern Illinois, accounted for all six Wyoming turnovers. Tanner Gentry had seven catches for 124 yards for his second straight 100-yard receiving game.
