Adair County Sheriff’s Office arrest report 8/15/2016

The Adair County Sheriff’s Office released details on Monday of multiple recent arrests.

On Sunday, August 7th the Adair Police Department arrested 26-year-old Joseph Dean White of Atlantic on charges of Assault and Public Intoxication. He was arrested after walking the streets of Adair while intoxicated and banging on doors.  He also allegedly cut another individual on the shoulder while that person was sleeping.  He was released the next day on $2,000 bond.

On Monday, August 8th at 2:07 am the Iowa State Patrol arrested 21-year-old Dinesh Biswa of Omaha for OWI 1st Offense. Biswa was arrested on Interstate 80 Eastbound at Exit 88.  He was taken into custody and released Wednesday on $1,000 bond.

Also on August 8th the Adair County Sheriff’s Office took 63-year-old Mark Stephen Miller of Orient into custody on a court order for serving a sentence.  He was released on Wednesday after time served.

On Tuesday, August 9th the Adair County Sheriff’s Office arrested 50-year-old James Alan Klemish of Adair on multiple drug possession charges.  At 4:20pm Klemish was arrested at 1211 150th Street in Adair for Possession of a Controlled Substance-Marijuana 1st Offense, Unlawful Possession of Prescription Drugs, and Possession of a Controlled Substance-Methamphetamine 1st Offense.  Klemish was released later that evening on his own recognizance. On Wednesday, August 10th at the same address the Adair County Sheriff’s office cited and released 73-year-old Mary Kaye Klemish of Adair for a Prescription Drug Violation 1st Offense.

On Wednesday, August 10th Stuart Police arrested 41-year-old Elmer Lee Harwell of Bedford on charges of Violation of a No Contact Order and 2nd Degree Harassment.  Harwell was arrested in the 300 Block of SW Kent Street in Greenfield at 11:41pm.  He was arrested after attempting to break into a residence in Stuart by prying at the door and lock in which the resident had a no contact order in place against him.  He later sent harassing text messages to the resident of the apartment and threatened to shoot her if she didn’t talk to him.  Harwell was taken into custody and held on $7,000 cash bond.

The Adair County Sheriff’s Office also arrested 27-year-old Alyssa Janeen Carroll of Des Moines on Friday, August 12th for Probation Violation.  Carroll was arrested at 6:42pm at the Dallas County Jail and held until seen by a magistrate.
