OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — Iowa’s Mason McCoy hit a walk-off single in the 10th inning to power the Hawkeyes past Ohio State 5-4 on Friday in the Big Ten tournament.

McCoy’s game-winning hit capped a five-run rally for the Hawkeyes (29-25), who trailed 4-0 entering the bottom of the ninth inning.

Buckeyes pitcher John Harvid allowed just two hits in eight innings. But Iowa used five singles to tie the game at 4, and McCoy dropped a line drive into right field with the bases loaded to complete the comeback.

McCoy had a pair of RBIs for eighth-seeded Iowa, which also knocked off top-seeded Minnesota in its opener.

Closer Yianni Pavlopoulos (2-4) took the loss for fourth-seeded Ohio State (39-18), allowing two hits in just a third of an inning.
