THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF WESTERN AND SOUTHERN IOWA.

TODAY AND TONIGHT: HOT AND HUMID WEATHER IS EXPECTED TODAY WITH HEAT INDICES TO 105 OR MORE DURING PEAK HEATING OF THE AFTERNOON. A HEAT ADVISORY IS IN EFFECT FOR THE AREA BEGINNING AT NOON AND RUNNING THROUGH LATE THIS EVENING.

THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED TO MOVE FROM MINNESOTA SOUTHEAST THROUGH THE AREA TONIGHT. THERE IS A SLIGHT TO ENHANCED RISK OF SEVERE WEATHER WITH DAMAGING WIND AND LARGE HAIL THE MOST LIKELY THREATS. LOCALLY HEAVY RAINS MAY OCCUR AS WELL.

A HEAT ADVISORY IS IN EFFECT FOR THE AREA AGAIN ON MONDAY WHEN HEAT INDICES MAY AGAIN REACH 105 OR MORE DURING THE AFTERNOON.
