ALFRED HUGHES, 65, of Portsmouth, died Tue., Feb. 17th. A Mass of Christian Burial service for ALFRED HUGHES will be held 11-a.m. Sat., Feb. 21st, at St. Mary Our Lady of Fatima Church, in Portsmouth. Pauley-Jones Funeral Home in Harlan has the arrangements.

Friends may call at St. Mary’s on Friday, from 4-until 8-pm, with a Wake Service set for 7-p.m.

Burial will be in the St. Mary’s Cemetery at Portsmouth.

His wife – Hank (Leenderts) Hughes, of Portsmouth.

His son – Todd Hughes, of Persia.

His daughters – Shelley (Paul) Schmitz, and Angie Hughes, all of Council Bluffs, and Cindy (Jay) Schechinger, of Westphalia.

His brother – James (Julia) Hughes, of Alcester, SD.

His sisters – Kathleen Renken, of Brunsville, IA; Aldine (Richard) Meinen, of Katy, TX; Marilyn (Larry) Tucker, of Bolingbrook, IL; Connie Boettger & her companion, Don Thomas, of LeMars; Glenda (Dennis) Dunaway, of Portsmouth, and Patricia (Mike) Toben, of Utica, SD.

and 12 grandchildren.
