Hawk’s b-ball player Oglesby arrested Saturday

A basketball player for the University of Iowa arrested early Saturday morning on a trio of charges has pleaded not guilty. KCCI-TV reports Hawkeye basketball player Josh Oglesby was arrested at around 1:50-a.m. at a bar in Iowa City. Oglesby was charged with interference of official acts, disorderly conduct and public intoxication. He was released later Saturday morning, and is set to appear at a hearing on Nov. 5th.

In a statement to the media, Iowa coach Fran McCaffery said: “I was made aware of the incident involving Josh this morning. I will collect all the facts when I return to Iowa City. Once fully informed of the situation, I will visit with Josh and we will operate in accordance with the rules and regulations of our student-athlete Code of Conduct.”

Ogelsby is a senior from Cedar Rapids and averaged 6.6 points per game last season as a junior.
