AREA COUNTIES: AUDUBON-GUTHRIE-DALLAS-CASS-ADAIR-MADISON-ADAMS-UNION-TAYLOR-RINGGOLD (436 AM CDT SUN AUG 17 2014)

…DENSE FOG ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 AM CDT THIS MORNING…

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN DES MOINES HAS ISSUED A DENSE FOG ADVISORY…WHICH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 AM CDT THIS MORNING.

A DENSE FOG ADVISORY WILL BE IN EFFECT UNTIL 8-A.M. TODAY FOR MONTGOMERY-FREMONT-AND PAGE COUNTIES.

VISIBILITY…VISIBILITY WILL DROP TO ONE QUARTER MILE OR LESS WITH SOME AREAS NEAR ZERO AT TIMES. SOME IMPROVEMENT IS EXPECTED AFTER SUNRISE AND THE CONDITIONS SHOULD IMPROVE BETWEEN 8 AND 9 AM THIS SUNDAY MORNING.

* IMPACTS…DRIVING TIMES AROUND THE AREA THIS MORNING WILL BE SLOWER THAN NORMAL EARLY TODAY. VARIABLE AND RAPIDLY CHANGING REDUCED VISIBILITIES WILL LEAD TO HAZARDOUS TRAVEL. BE PREPARED FOR VISIBILITIES OF ONE QUARTER MILE OR LESS ACROSS THE AREA.

A DENSE FOG ADVISORY MEANS VISIBILITIES WILL FREQUENTLY BE REDUCED TO LESS THAN ONE QUARTER MILE. IF DRIVING…SLOW DOWN…USE YOUR HEADLIGHTS…AND LEAVE PLENTY OF DISTANCE AHEAD OF YOU. BE MINDFUL OF INTERSECTIONS AND RAILROAD CROSSINGS AS VEHICLES AND TRAINS MAY BE HIDDEN FROM VIEW BECAUSE OF THE LOW VISIBILITY DUE TO THE FOG.
