Sheriff’s officials in Montgomery County report a call about a domestic abuse incident at a residence west of Red Oak, resulted in one person suffering a stab wound. Deputies responded to the 2000 block of Boxelder Avenue at around 1:10-a.m. Sunday. Following an investigation, 48-year old Karen Jean Stirek, of Red Oak, was arrested on charges of Willful Injury and Domestic assault with a dangerous weapon. Stirek was brought to the Montgomery County Jail and held on $10,000 bond.

Montgomery County Sheriff’s Deputies were assisted at the scene by personnel with Red Oak Rescue and the Red Oak Police Dept.
