The Adair County Board of Supervisors are set to act on the Master Matrix Scoring for the proposed expansion of hog confinement operations near Orient. The Geidel family wants to double each of their three farming operations from 2,500 head to 5,000. After a review of the correspondence, the Board will make their recommendation to the Iowa Department of Natural Resources.  In May, the Adair County Supervisors voted 4-1 against the family’s plan to expand their hog operations. Wednesday’s action is set to take place at 9:45-a.m.

In other business, the Adair County Board of Supervisors will act on: a Fiscal Year 2015 Emergency Preparedness Grant Contract; Case Management Services Amended and Restated 28-E agreement; A Speer Financial Supplemental Financial Services Agreement; and the awarding of a contract for  Reinforced Concrete Box (RCB) Culvert projects.

The meeting begins at 9-a.m.
