...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 AM CST WEDNESDAY

* SHORT TERM TRENDS…SNOW HAS LESSENED IN INTENSITY THE PAST HOUR…BUT WILL INCREASE AGAIN THROUGH THE LATE EVENING HOURS. THE HIGHEST SNOWFALL RATES ARE EXPECTED TO CONTINUE THROUGH LATE MIDNIGHT. SNOWFALL AMOUNTS OF 3 TO 6 INCHES ARE LIKELY BY 10 PM.* STORM TOTAL SNOW…4 TO 8 INCHES * WINDS/VISIBILITY…A NORTHEAST WIND OF 15 TO 20 MPH WILL INCREASE TO NORTHWEST AT 20 TO 30 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 35 MPH AFTER MIDNIGHT. VISIBILITIES WILL BE REDUCED ESPECIALLY IN OPEN AREAS DUE TO FALLING AND BLOWING SNOW. * IMPACTS…BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW IS EXPECTED AS THE WIND INCREASES. ROADS WILL BECOME SNOW COVERED MAKING TRAVEL DIFFICULT. LOCALIZED WHITEOUT CONDITIONS ARE LIKELY…ESPECIALLY LATE THIS EVENING AND OVERNIGHT. THE MORNING COMMUTE IS LIKELY TO BE GREATLY IMPACTED BY THE WIND AND BLOWING SNOW. PLAN FOR SLOW TRAVEL TIMES AND LONGER COMMUTES.
