THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN DES MOINES HAS ISSUED A WIND ADVISORY…WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 6 AM TO 6 PM CST TUESDAY.

* TIMING…TUESDAY MORNING INTO TUESDAY AFTERNOON

* WINDS…NORTHWEST WINDS OF 30 TO 40 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 50 MPH.

* IMPACTS…SOME PATCHY BLOWING SNOW WILL BE POSSIBLE MAINLY ACROSS NORTHEAST IOWA IN AREAS THAT STILL HAVE SNOW ON THE GROUND OR IN AREAS THE RECEIVE SOME LIGHT SNOW TONIGHT INTO EARLY TUESDAY.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

A WIND ADVISORY MEANS THAT WINDS OF 35 MPH ARE EXPECTED. WINDS THIS STRONG CAN MAKE DRIVING DIFFICULT…ESPECIALLY FOR HIGH PROFILE VEHICLES. USE EXTRA CAUTION.
