VALERA MAYBERRY, 100, of West Des Moines (& formerly of Atlantic ), died Mon., Sept. 2nd, at her home. Funeral services for VALERA MAYBERRY will be held 10:30-a.m. Fri., Sept. 6th at the Hockenberry Family Care Funeral Home in Atlantic.

Visitation at the funeral home is from 6-to 8-pm Thursday, Sept. 5th.

Burial will be in the Atlantic Cemetery.

Memorials may be directed to the family for later designation to Mercy Hospice.

Her children – Terry (Janet) Mayberry, of West Des Moines; Linda Legg, of Ames, and Merlin (Marcia) Mayberry of Mobile, AL.

Her sister – Bernice Hopp, of Lincoln, NE.

7 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.
